I am a freelance illustrator, instructor and licensed artist living in Petaluma, California, hosting classes in both the US and internationally. In-person classes are offered at Petaluma Art Center located in the heart of town. The center is a vibrant community hub where artists, art lovers, and learners of all ages can explore their creativity and enjoy the transformative power of art.

A creative retreat in the heart of wine country
Excited to share that I’ll be teaching a brand new wine country workshop with Wandering Women Retreats. The best part - it will be taking place in my backyard among the rolling hills and lush vineyards of beautiful Sonoma Valley! There’ll be an amazing line up of culinary tours, wine tasting, farmers markets, antique shops and local artisans. And in addition to my workshop the retreat will feature two other local artists.

Petaluma Art Center Academy - WING IT! Butterflies & Moths Watercolor Workshop
Join me for a playful and inspiring watercolor class where we’ll create loose, expressive Butterflies and Moths filled with movement, color, and personality. Using flowing watercolor techniques, we’ll explore layering washes, creating soft organic shapes and embracing the beauty of nature’s designs. Once our paintings are dry we’ll add details and embellishments with paint pens to bring each winged creature to life. The style will be relaxed and playful, with demonstrations on watercolor techniques.
Materials including watercolor papers, paints, mixing palette, and drawing tools will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own favorite supplies.
This is a great class for beginners and for more experienced artists who are interested in learning a new technique.
No prior experience necessary.
